COSTA RICA: PART 2

Well, neither Nick nor I are the best photographers and we mainly took a million photos of the animals, sunsets, and jungle and have very few of us. We rented a car and traveled through a big part of the country from jungle to coast. Honestly, the whole trip was like an 'I Spy' game with all the sights we saw. In the rural areas life functions at a much slower pace, there were multiple times we were stopped by cows and bulls meandering down the road or chose to stop to see this farmer and his wife pulling his horse while riding a motorcycle (top left). I thought I would make a collage of sorts that gave you an idea of the adventure we had in Costa Rica. And an adventure it was!

COSTA RICA: PART 1

I decided I should not bomb you with a million more photos after my epic post yesterday. The day after our wedding we flew to Costa Rica for a week of adventure. Our first night we stayed in downtown San Jose in this unique, historic hotel. The staff was so kind, as were all of the people we encountered while in Costa Rica. This is what greeted us in our room, along with a chocolate bar (which of course we ate before thinking to take a photo).

JUST MARRIED!

On February 16th, I married my best friend and it couldn't have been a more magical and whimsical day. We celebrated with our closest friends and family and danced the night away. We just arrived back in the states from our honeymoon (more on that later) and I received some sneak peeks from our photographer. I couldn't wait to share though I am sure there will be more to come!

A WEDDING DETAIL

I will get to doing a whole post with all the details, but for now I want to share some little moments. I love confetti, and wish there were more moments in life to involve it. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to use it in our wedding. Here are some confetti bags I created for the confetti toss as we walk out as Husband and Wife.

I'M KIND OF IN LOVE

Mumford & Sons are at the top of my list for favorite bands right now. I love their sound, their talent, their folk feel. You can't tell me that when you hear their music you aren't jumping around, in a good mood or bobbing your head back and forth. How envious I am of these thousands of people that saw them at live at Red Rocks. Please come to Utah!

DRESS YOUR HEAD

How fun and whimsical are these headdresses? It makes me want to have a reason to wear a hand made one. Maybe something like this for my next birthday?

DAY TO DAY

PINK POUT

Hot pink lipstick paired with natural makeup is just such a refreshing look winter, spring, and summer. It seems like if you find the right shade just about anyone can wear the trend. I am in and just picked up my favorite shade this week (only after trying 100 sample runs)!

HIP HIP HOORAY

This weekend my best friends Nicole and Ben got engaged! He is awesome and proposed at the top of a mountain while they were snowshoeing. Nick and I threw an engagement party that involved champagne, cake and friends. Couldn't be happier for this amazing couple! Congratulations, many wishes, and all my love.

MY WEDDING INSPIRATION

This is long overdue considering our wedding is just days away. I have hesitated in posting my inspiration because it is really so personal to me and the pictures themselves don't explain what actually inspires me about them, and I have hundreds of images (this is just a few)! Sometimes it is a feel, a specific color, an aesthetic, or the execution of a particular element and not necessarily the image as a whole. However, I will be posting elements of my wedding so I am hoping you will be able to see the direct correlation between inspiration images to the real deal. This in fact, is generally one of my favorite processes of the design phase.

See my wedding invites and save the dates too!

Please pardon my rudeness, I have collected these images for the past months (lets by honest, years) and have lost their original sites. Most are from these sites: 1, 23, 4, and 5.
