SPOTLIGHT: MAURICE SENDAK

“And now," cried Max, "let the wild rumpus start!”
                                                                   - Maurice Sendak, Where the Wild Things Are
Thank you Maurice Sendak, for your inspiring artwork and illustration as well as your storytelling. I am still taken by this story and love the fantasy it creates.

BY THE HAND

Betsy Dunlap is one of my favorite calligraphers. She has such a unique and distinct style. I love her work!

SUMMER IS HERE

After trail running in Deer Valley yesterday followed by drinks on a patio in Park City, I have realized that summer is here! I will be sure to remember my camera next time, until then here is a summer story of color, pattern, and happiness.

LOLITA

Wow! Awesome architectural, interior, and such a modern twist on the feminine. The color palette, hard wood floors, and collage ceiling blow me away.

OH KATE

Kate Moss is undeniably a fashion icon. I love how unique and ageless her look is, and how much she changes in various fashion shoots. The girl really knows what she is doing and I admire her personal sense of style.

THE GLASS CEILING

There is something about having so much natural light and connecting with the outdoor world that pulls at my heartstrings.

LIVE THE LANGUAGE

I love this campaign put on by EF Language Centers in collaboration with Gustav Johansson, Niklas Johansson, Albin Holmqvist, and Camp David to encourage people to go abroad and learn another language.  The cinematography, fonts, and music are all spot on.  Needless to say, I am in!

SPOTLIGHT: EVA MENZ

London based installation artist, Eva Menz, has been on my radar for a few years now. Her work is so visually sensitive and detailed and truly inspiring. She uses any imaginable material from glass and bone, to beads and wood to create these breathtaking installations and chandeliers.

GALLERY WALL

I am in the process of creating a new photo wall in our loft. We have this huge wall where the staircase is so I am having trouble figuring out the scale of this thing. These images are inspiring and so impactful. I particularly love the long horizontal frames and the poster size prints. I think I will have to mount some blown up photos on super thick foam core.

I apologize I have had these images on file for a long time and no longer have the sources

CASUAL STYLE

I am trying to really upgrade my wardrobe and love this effortless style for day to day wear. I had a roommate in college that always looked good, always. She wouldn't go to the grocery store if she wasn't dressed. Although I thought it was a little silly at the time, I totally respect it now. Why not always aim to look your best no matter the occasion?
